This necklace was selected the winning entry in the Tranquil Beading Oasis Renaissance Challenge!
It consists of two strands of glass seed beads in metallic purple and pearlescent pink, bound together by freshwater pearls in creamy rounds and tiny peacock purple rice pearls. All metals used are sterling silver, including the stunning flower toggle clasp that completes the piece. It is now available for purchase in my Etsy store.

Heaven on Earth

These earrings feature stunning blue lace agate beads. They are complemented by lots of gorgeous sterling silver, and sparkly blue Swarovski crystals. Threaded onto sterling silver headpins and finished with elegant round sterling silver earwires adorned with faceted blue lace agate rondelles.

Working on new photos

I'm finally getting around to reshooting some of my old lingering jewelry. I have some really wonderful pieces that the lousy pictures really weren't doing justice to. I'm getting a little better at it, but still not completely satisfied with what I've been coming up with. Buster took a nap in my homemade soft light box and tore all the white tissue paper out, so I need to reconstruct that...

Oh, the drama...

It's a gorgeously warm Sunday here in east-central Illinois. I thought today I would feature a little number that would go great with that little black dress or sexy black top. This one-of-a-kind necklace and earrings set, called "Emboldened", is elegant and simple, and makes a bold statement of style. Bright red coral cubes are set apart by smaller hematite cubes and sterling silver daisy spacers. A gorgeous pewter lizard toggle clasp completes the necklace. I like the toggle clasp a lot so I have shown it worn at the front. The earrings, have dangling coral and are strung on sterling wire and headpins. The ear wires are silver plated.

This gorgeous set is very reasonably priced and available for purchase on Etsy. Click here to see more photos.

Still Here...

I'm still here. Finally getting this blog all spiffed up. Here's one of my favorite new items, a bracelet called Gypsy Song. I've taken cute little cloisonne beads in multiple colors and put them on brass head pins and made neat little wire-wrapped loops to attach them to a length of brass chain to make this fringe bracelet. The bracelet makes a lovely quiet rustling sound when you wear it. You can see close-ups of it here.

Welcome to The Witchery

Leaping forward into the twenty-first century and trying out this blogging thing. I'll be using this space as a creative outlet. But it's getting into the wee hours now and I've had too much beer so that's all for now.

Oh, first to highlight creative outlet #1: I make jewelry. I make too much of it. It starts to fill all the corners of the house. It gets in the way. Reach for a toothbrush, get a necklace. So I try to purge some of the collection on etsy, here: http://witchery.etsy.com.
